Position Summary

The Territory Manager I, Global Sales Operations is responsible for the fulfillment of all SIG SAUER export sales covering the international commercial and defense business markets ranging from small-scale orders to more intricate and sophisticated contracts and projects. They are the key link between customers and SIG SAUER. This person is the primary point of contact for all sales support related activities for their assigned region. They must successfully execute on new orders and contracts from inception to completion. This person will be involved in quoting, contract review, order entry and management, export compliance, supply chain and logistics. The position coordinates internally and externally to manage and support sales support functions while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as key point of contact for assigned territory. Responsible for all sales support activities relating to the processing of export orders for the international sales channel.
  • Manage international sales contract execution from quote to agreement and delivery.
  • Engage with Export Compliance department in order to obtain US Government approved export licensing for all open orders.
  • Responsible for order entry and order management relating to monitoring customers request dates and scheduled ship dates, holds on orders preventing shipments, and aligning proper export licensing with all open order lines.
  • Support field sales on a variety of tasks related to the sale and/or development of business.
  • Review opportunities with sales, develop quotes, and negotiate order conditions.
  • Review contracts, identify requirements, delegate leads to the appropriate business unit, and track deliverables.
  • Responsible for assisting outside sales and foreign business partners with hosting international delegations at SIG SAUER facilities for either pre-sale activities or post-sale product inspections before shipment.
  • Collaborate with logistics and network of freight forwarders to obtain freight quotes and source best freight method as required.
  • Respond to incoming calls and e-mails for new orders, or warranty claims, pricing issues, and general inquiries for all product lines.
  • Involved with various pre-sale activities as it relates to responding to RFQ’s and RFP’s.
  • Responsible for decisions that impact resources, scheduling, contractual commitments, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with product management to ensure customer specific product requirements are met and use product lifecycle management software to log the data.
  • Utilize required programs to manage and book orders, research technical requirements and questions, process quotes, and analyze sales and production data.
  • Communicate order and account statuses to account managers and customers as well as monthly and quarterly revenue projections.
  • Physically inspect orders, as necessary.
  • Help in other parts of the team regularly. Work with and relays information to other departments on a regular basis.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education/Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a sales organization, preferably in international sales.
  • Program Management experience is preferred.
  • Possess a working knowledge of complex contracts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with a basic working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM.
  • Working knowledge of finances including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and manage deadlines accordingly.
  • Ability to collaborate with many teams including Export Compliance, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain and Logistics teams.

Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Safe use and handling of firearms and other products may occasionally be required.
