The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Global Sales Director for our Hyatt Sales Force Americas team. This role focuses on growth and business development within our Luxury account portfolio and supports our Luxury brand portfolio. The Global Sales Director will be responsible for geographic luxury market strategy, stakeholder communication, market trend analysis, and driving market share and revenue growth across our luxury hotels. Collaboration with regional leadership and leading growth initiatives including new hotels, focus hotels, and business development are key. This position offers a unique opportunity for a global seller passionate about strategic account management, customer events, hotel training, marketing strategies, and working with a collaborative global team to achieve organizational objectives aligned with our Purpose of Care. This is a remote role based in South America, preferably Colombia. You will join a team dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering curiosity, skill development, and stakeholder engagement.

The Role

The primary responsibility is developing strategic account plans to generate new revenue within our Luxury Accounts in the luxury and lifestyle segment. You will focus on expanding Hyatt’s presence in Latin America, particularly with travel agencies, concierge services, private clubs, and private aviation. Responsibilities include managing accounts, nurturing long-term relationships, driving market share, and supporting hotel sales efforts through events, tradeshows, and familiarization trips.

  • Create and maintain strategic account plans with targets, engagement strategies, and reviews.
  • Support hotel premium sales and market positioning aligned with budgets and priorities.
  • Collaborate with Hyatt Sales Force colleagues to retain and grow key accounts.
  • Identify and target luxury accounts using analytics and prospecting strategies.
  • Manage customer relationships and problem-solving for assigned accounts.
  • Travel as needed for entertainment, meetings, and industry events.
  • Maintain high visibility through direct solicitation, calls, and communications.
  • Ensure sales contracts follow policies and are commercially sound.
  • Stay informed on market trends and customer needs, sharing insights internally.
  • Assist hotel teams with customer engagement, events, and presentations.
  • Manage event budgets and curate branded experiences.
  • Represent Hyatt at industry events as a brand ambassador.
  • Support new hotel account acquisition, especially in the luxury segment.
  • Organize familiarization trips and conduct product presentations.
  • Prepare activity and sales reports regularly.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, follow-up, and leadership skills.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment, showing initiative and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, virtually and in person.
Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality management
  • At least 5 years in global and luxury sales
  • Experience with luxury, leisure, lifestyle, group, and transient segments
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and growing market share
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and develop new partnerships
  • Leadership qualities, agility, and a challenge-oriented mindset
  • High professionalism, integrity, and ethics
  • Passion for diversity, curiosity, and connection-building

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of hotel operations and sales practices
  • Leadership experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Lanyon, Reserve, Opera, Oracle, Envision
