Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 8+ years of risk experience, and 2+ years of managerial experience, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting (preferred).
• 8+ years of risk management experience (preferred).
• 2+ years of manager experience (preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret laws, regulations, and contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred; RMIS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the risk management function for The Specialty Alliance, a Cardinal Health subsidiary.
• Manage domestic and international insurance programs (primary casualty, property, professional liability, cyber, etc.).
• Negotiate policy terms and premiums; coordinate with brokers and underwriters.
• Prepare risk and budget reports; support quarterly reserve analyses with actuaries.
• Perform due diligence for acquisitions and integration of new businesses.
• Develop and mentor risk management staff; drive safety, compliance and business continuity initiatives.
