Job summary

Wellington Management Company, LLP is seeking an Analyst on the Client Invoicing Team within Global Revenue Operations. You will calculate base and complex performance fee invoices for a wide array of global clients and respond to revenue-related questions from internal and external stakeholders.

Role involves collaboration with Client Group and Investment Product Management, and direct client contact to resolve invoicing questions.

Overview

As an Analyst on the Client Invoicing Team within Global Revenue Operations at Wellington, this individual will work to calculate and prepare both base and complex performance fee invoices for a wide array of Wellington’s global clients. The individual will field a variety of revenue-related questions from both internal and external clients in a timely and accurate manner. This role has a high-level of interaction with Client Group and Investment Product Management at Wellington and direct contact with external clients to resolve any invoicing questions that may arise.

Responsibilities
  • Using a variety of data and applications, process and review management fee invoices and supporting documents related to the calculation of both base and performance/variable fees including their applicable taxes.
  • Review potential nonstandard fee agreements before they are onboarded.
  • Analyze and edit contractual fee methodologies, including collaborating with Client Group and Investment Product Management and suggesting fee calculation treatments that result in equitable treatment to all parties involved.
  • Consult with stakeholders on both existing and prospective Most Favored Nation clients and their impact to Wellington’s book of business.
  • Grow into becoming the Subject Matter Expert for one of the team’s various Practice Areas.
  • Handle all administrative responsibilities of that area and be the go-to resource for the rest of the team when there are related challenges or questions. Examples of such practice areas are MFNs, Unit Redemption Processing, Market Values, New Account Setup, Reconciliation of Amendments and Invoices, and more.
  • Complete ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the compilation of data for System and Organization Controls audit requests.
  • Assist with the testing of application enhancements.
  • Train and manage co-op as assigned.
  • Review and approve the set-up of new accounts on the invoicing application to ensure accuracy.
  • Document procedures for use by current and future team members.
  • Brainstorm and execute process improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • A college graduate with one to five years of previous related work experience is desirable.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and balance competing priorities in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills, business acumen, and interest in the markets are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn a handful of proprietary applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn responsibilities on the job and grow by taking on more complex assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is: USD 80,000 - 150,000. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process. Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible.
