Job summary

Toast is seeking a Senior Director of Revenue Accounting to lead our global revenue accounting organization, reporting to the CAO. This role ensures ASC 606 compliance, strong internal controls, and accurate financial reporting for a rapidly growing, customer‑facing business.

The ideal candidate will lead cross‑functional partnerships with Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and FP&A, drive automation and AI adoption, and scale the revenue function across geographies and new business models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Public company experience with SEC reporting.
• Experience leading large accounting teams through growth.
• Strong internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Revenue Accounting org to deliver accurate, timely reporting.
• Own revenue accounting for all revenue streams and SEC support.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales and FP&A on new products and pricing.
• Drive automation, controls, and scale; oversee SOX controls.
• Lead accounting for acquisitions and partnerships.
• Establish metrics to improve efficiency and scalability.
