Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking an experienced risk and resilience professional to join our Resilience & Response team. You will support portfolio risk analysis, threat intelligence, and crisis response across a global, cross-functional context.

You will manage data, build executive-ready analyses, and help mature business continuity capabilities while coordinating with Disaster Recovery and senior leaders. Travel and on-site collaboration are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of corporate and/or professional services experience; consulting preferred
• Familiarity with risk, intelligence, crisis response, resilience, and emergency management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with time-critical issues
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Sensitive handling of confidential information and high standards
• Comfort with senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience across cultures and varied settings
• Proficient data handling with Excel, Access, Tableau; SQL and GenAI familiarity
• Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in cutting-edge solutions
• Willingness to travel and work in person as needed
• Ability to collect and synthesize information for executive reporting in English

Responsibilities

• Own slide deck updates for portfolio risk analysis projects
• Identify emerging issues and patterns; synthesize inputs from firm experts
• Conduct financial modeling to translate analysis into executive-ready perspectives
• Draft and quality-control rapid-turnaround reports in response to priority disruptions
• Coordinate timelines, stakeholders, and inputs for twice-yearly refreshes
• Support maturation of the Business Continuity Program and governance routines
• Co-develop continuity playbooks with Disaster Recovery
• Codify analytic frameworks and lessons learned into a centralized resource
• Maintain day-to-day operating cadence during material matters and crises
