Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Strategic Planning in Lake County, IL, to lead cross-functional teams on regulatory strategies. The role combines scientific, regulatory, and business process knowledge to drive execution of regulatory strategies and manage GRPT schedules, deliverables, and governance.

It requires leadership, strong communication, and experience in a complex matrix environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in science (biology, chemistry, microbiology, medical technology, pharmacy, pharmacology) or related fields.
Advanced degree in science, math, business management, or engineering preferred; RAC/PMP certifications preferred.
7 years’ related experience.
Proven leadership skills with ability to interact with senior management and executives.
Experience in a complex, matrix environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide project management leadership for GRPTs; develop schedules and wave plans and coordinate with Regulatory staff globally.
Plan and facilitate GRPT meetings; ensure action items are completed and summarize highlights for stakeholders.
Interact with ADTs and other stakeholders to communicate regulatory milestones and progress.
Drive GRPT operations to keep information and tools up to date.
Plan and execute medium-to-high complexity process improvements and lead change initiatives.
Lead governance discussions and drive consensus on process changes.
