National Grid plc in the US is seeking a Global Recruitment Operations Manager to shape the future of our talent function. You will lead governance, performance and operating excellence across UK and US recruitment teams, partnering with Legal, Ethics, Compliance, Risk and Audit to manage risks and drive improvements.

This highly visible role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a hybrid model, with base locations in Brooklyn, NY, Waltham, MA or Syracuse, NY.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in recruitment operations, HR operations, governance, analytics, business management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment governance, reporting, compliance and operational best practice
  • Experience leading risk, audit, assurance or policy-based activities.
  • A proven track record of developing and managing reporting, analytics and performance frameworks.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget, supplier and contract management.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation programmes, organisational change and operating model implementation.
  • The ability to translate complex data into meaningful insight and executive-level recommendations.
  • Experience working within large, complex and ideally global organisations.
  • Equivalent experience in recruitment operations, governance, compliance, analytics or business management will also be considered

  • Translate recruitment strategy into actionable programmes and operational capabilities.
  • Lead Data Reporting and Insights across the UK and US.
  • Develop performance measures, KPI reporting and executive dashboards.
  • Champion data quality, reporting governance and continuous improvement of business intelligence capabilities.
  • Provide leadership teams with meaningful insights, recommendations and decision support.
  • Oversee budget, headcount and resource planning processes.
  • Lead recruitment governance and assurance activities across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain controls and compliance frameworks that meet legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, Ethics, Compliance, Risk and Audit teams to manage recruitment-related risks effectively.
  • Coordinate recruitment-related audits, regulatory submissions and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure reporting requirements, control evidence and assurance activities are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Lead the development and implementation of global recruitment policies and practices.
  • Oversee recruitment supplier governance and vendor performance.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance to drive value, efficiency and cost optimisation.
  • Provide governance and commercial support across recruitment projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with project and change teams to track delivery, benefits and outcomes.

We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded Global Recruitment Operations Manager to help shape the future of our recruitment function. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of Talent Acquisition, driving governance, performance, compliance and operational excellence across our UK and US recruitment teams.

As the Global Recruitment Operations Manager, you'll act as the governance, performance and business management lead for the Recruitment function, enabling the successful delivery of strategic priorities across a complex global organisation.

Working closely with the Recruitment Leadership Team and partnering with key stakeholders across People, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Ethics, Compliance, Risk and Audit, you'll provide the insight, governance and operational leadership required to ensure our recruitment organisation performs effectively today while building capability for tomorrow.

This is a highly visible role that combines strategic thinking with operational execution, giving you the opportunity to influence decision-making at a global level.

This role operates under a hybrid working model and can be based out of the Brooklyn, NY, Waltham, MA or Syracuse, NY office. Hybrid work expectations are subject to business needs and company policy.

Key Accountabilities
