**Compensation Range for This Position Is $19 - $21.78/HR

Mercy Ships is seeking 2 Global Recruiting Coordinator’s to engage with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a high-touch and efficient experience. This role includes responding to inquiries, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, and ensuring complete and qualified applications are delivered to the Global Recruiting Sector Leader. The Recruiting Coordinator plays a key role infacilitatinga smooth candidate journey whilemaintainingaccuratedata and supporting the overall recruitment strategy. Flexibility isrequired, as early morning work may be necessary to accommodate applicants in different time zones.

How You’ll Contribute

Applicant Engagement & Initial Screening

  • Engage with candidates by responding promptly to inquiries, providing clear and accurate information about Mercy Ships’ opportunities, mission, and values.
  • Deliver a high-touch candidate experience, ensuring clear expectations and timely follow-ups.
  • Maintain consistent and personalized communication with applicants throughout the process.

    Screening & Application Processing

    • Conduct thorough initial screenings of volunteer applications to assess qualifications, availability, and alignment with Mercy Ships’ needs.
    • Submit completed and qualified candidate screenings for review.
    • Ensure application records are complete, accurate, and stored properly in the relevant People & Culture (P&C) systems.
    • Identify alternate, suitable roles for applicants as needed.
    • Track application progress, ensuring all necessary documents and references are collected before official review.

      Interview Coordination & Scheduling

      • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and Resource Managers, ensuring availability across global time zones.
      • Assign and review video interviews, ensuring alignment with role requirements.
      • Communicate interview details and expectations clearly to both candidates and interviewers.

        Application Submission & Quality Control

        • Ensure all applications are complete, qualified, and meet the necessary requirements before submission to the Global Recruiting Sector Leader.
        • Maintain accurate records, tracking applicant progress and key recruitment metrics.
        • Proactively communicate application status updates to relevant stakeholders.

          Compliance & Continuous Improvement

          • Stay informed on Mercy Ships’ job requirements, policies, procedures, and service conditions.
          • Ensure recruiting processes align with organizational standards and data integrity best practices.
          • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance candidate engagement and operational efficiency.

            Flexibility & Global Coordination

            • Adapt work schedules as needed to accommodate applicants in various time zones.
            • Collaborate with team members across global locations to ensure smooth operations.

              Organizational Alignment & Compliance

              • Maintain alignment with Mercy Ships Core Values, Code of Conduct, and follow all policies and procedures published on Navigator.
              • Ensure compliance with all volunteer credentialing, background checks, and onboarding requirements.

                                Education & Experience

                                • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
                                • Equivalent experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or volunteer management may be considered in place of formal education.
                                • 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or volunteer management.
                                • Experience conducting applicant screenings, interviews, and reference checks.
                                • Strong background in customer service, relationship management, or engagement strategies.
                                • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR databases preferred.
                                • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
