Job summary

GSK is seeking an Associate Director in biostatistics to drive strategic initiatives using advanced methods and real-world data (RWD) to generate real-world evidence (RWE) for trial design, regulatory submissions and safety signals.

The role partners with cross‑functional teams to develop and optimize RWE strategies for priority assets, ensuring data‑driven decision making and a compelling evidence package for approvals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, or related field with 6+ years in pharma/biotech.
• Experience with drug development processes, applying innovative statistical thinking to achieve project/objectives.
• Experience with programming languages R and SQL, with observational datasets and biostatistical principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of non-interventional studies, aligning with cross-functional teams.
• Apply RWD expertise to guide data use, develop variable definitions, and author technical specifications.
• Present statistical analyses and insights to internal/external stakeholders and drive data‑driven decision making.
