Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Real Estate Construction Manager to lead technical delivery of complex office buildouts from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating with general contractors, design teams, and vendors.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and commissioning, lead a team of project managers, and ensure compliance with local codes and the company's sustainability goals while traveling 25–50% to various locations.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Deep, hands-on construction expertise—reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Command construction delivery methods and contract structures (GMP, lump sum, cost-plus, design‑assist).
• Delivered technically complex scopes such as commercial kitchens, high-end client/amenity spaces, data/server rooms, and integrated security.
• Strong in pre-construction—constructibility reviews, estimating, value engineering, and bid leveling.
• Command cost and commercial controls—budgeting by division, pay-applications, change-order governance, and contingencies.
• Managed budgets for projects from $50M to $300M+ and navigated multi-jurisdiction permits.
• Directly managed project managers through full lifecycles and scaled delivery functions for growth.
• Proficient with construction PM software (Procore) and CPM scheduling tools; MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; willing to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction & technical delivery: lead design/drawing reviews, MEP coordination, and establish delivery method and contracting strategy.
• Construction execution, quality & closeout: oversee mobilization to closeout, manage RFIs, submittals, and commissioning.
• Team leadership: directly manage and develop a Real Estate/Construction PM team and set performance standards.
• Stakeholder management & communication: coordinate with Security, IT, Facilities, Finance, and business teams; report progress to executives.
