Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years with Bachelor’s, 3+ with Masters, or 2+ with PhD in a fast-paced environment such as top-tier management consulting and pharmaceutical R&D.
• Experience managing large projects within a complex matrixed organization as a consultant to a pharmaceutical organization.
• Demonstrated ability to present data and metrics to executive leadership teams for better business outcomes.
• Recognized team player with facilitative leadership in a cross-functional global team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact internally and externally to support business strategy.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting and management of resources and budgets across the function.
• Lead and advise on resource planning for upcoming initiatives and projects.
• Provide portfolio timelines and cost estimates; negotiate outcomes across functions.
• Collaborate with VPs to develop departmental goals and strategic decisions.
• Engage with R&D initiatives to improve operational performance and decision making.
• Build business relationships across AbbVie to support R&D objectives.
• Serve as a resource financial expert and establish relationships with finance stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain tools and processes for staff proficiency with systems and guidelines.
