Job summary

Johnson Health Tech North America in Wisconsin is seeking a Project Engineer II or Senior Project Engineer to lead electrical hardware design and coordinate with Product Managers, North American mechanical engineers, and our Global Electrical Engineering team.

You will manage multiple projects through Johnson Health Tech’s development processes, focusing on schedules, costs, specs, electrical systems, and hardware design, while coordinating with software teams and stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• Four+ years of experience in electrical hardware design or related field.
• Experience with embedded hardware design and motor control helpful.
• Ability to travel internationally 2–4 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as communication lead between NA and Asia electrical teams.
• Provide design feedback, technical analysis and troubleshooting support.
• Manage tasks, schedules, costs, specs, and cross‑functional communication.
• Lead design reviews through multiple development processes.
• Evaluate designs and support prototype testing to identify risks and improve performance.
• Translate product requirements into actionable technical tasks for R&D.
• Coordinate electrical system and hardware design activities with software teams.
• Communicate regularly with overseas teams; occasional after-hours calls.
• Travel internationally 2–4 times per year to Taiwan/China facilities.
