Job summary

Eastman seeks a QA professional to provide quality assurance support for products produced at the Longview, TX site. The role involves managing multiple projects, approving specifications, procedures, and test methods, and coordinating stability programs and audits.

You will interact with customers on complaints and audits, participate in Eastman site and supplier audits, and ensure training on quality procedures is delivered effectively.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, chemistry, or related science or equivalent experience is required.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems is essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet schedules.

Description

This position will provide quality assurance (QA) support for products produced in at the Longview, TX Eastman site. Managing multiple projects is expected in this assignment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a system to release or reject raw materials, intermediates, packaging and labeling materials.
• Approving specifications, procedures, and test methods.
• Approving changes that potentially affect intermediate or final product quality.
• Coordinating stability programs
• Interacting with customers including complaint investigation and customer audits.
• Participating in and performing internal Eastman site audits.
• Participating in and performing audits at Eastman supplier and service provider sites.
• Ensuring that personnel are effectively trained quality procedures including delivering training.

Qualifications

• Required: B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, or related science degree,or relevant experience
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to implemen chemical requirements in various environments.
• Willingness to spend extra effort as needed to meet project schedules.
• Willingness to travel as needed (typically less than 15% of the time).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office programs.
• Experience in Quality Assurance (desired)
