Job summary

Grüns, a remote-first nutrition company, is seeking its first dedicated international quality leader. You will own the quality system for markets outside the US, overseeing product release, specifications, complaints, adverse events, and supplier controls.

You will build EU and global QMS processes, partner with Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, and external manufacturers, and run investigations and CAPAs under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in food, beverage, dietary supplement, or consumer health with international exposure.
• Hands-on EU and international quality experience managing QA for products sold outside the US.
• Experience with GMP, HACCP, traceability, recall, and labeling oversight across multiple EU member states.
• Deep ownership of CAPAs, investigations, root-cause analysis, and document/change control.
• Experience auditing external manufacturers and co-packers and holding them to account.
• Track record in recalls, withdrawals, or market actions under pressure.
• Stability protocols management and third-party lab oversight.
• Ability to work across US, UK/EU, and Asia time zones with a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Release finished products only after verifying specs, COAs, docs, deviations, and market requirements.
• Own consumer complaint intake and triage across levels 1–3.
• Build and run traceability, recall/withdrawal, and adverse-event processes for EU products.
• Own supplier and contract manufacturer qualification and quality agreements.
• Run testing oversight including OOS/OOT and third‑party labs.
• Assess quality/regulatory risk for formulations, ingredients, suppliers, and labeling changes.
• Partner with Regulatory Affairs to keep formulations and packaging compliant by market.
• Oversee international manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and distribution partners.
• Set and monitor international quality KPIs and stay audit-ready.
