Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a distribution related environment, with leadership experience.
• Minimum 3 years of global supply chain experience.
• Minimum 3 years of ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements purchasing strategies aligned with requirements and financial goals.
• Researches, evaluates, and selects supply vendors per standards and objectives.
• Analyzes vendor and supply chain risks to minimize disruption.
• Procures raw materials, components and finished goods to support operations.
• Negotiates pricing, contracts, and terms to optimize cost, quality and delivery.
• Maintains supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and performance.
• Liaises between Operations, Sales and vendors for material needs.
• Collaborates with Operations to forecast needs and maximize leverage.
• Maintains vendor records in ERP and updates pricing and costing.
• Generates Purchase Orders to ensure timely procurement.
• Provides monthly updates on material trends and issues.
• Monitors inventory levels and replenishment to align with forecasts.
• Supports Lean Initiatives and process improvements in the dept.
• Tracks KPIs and reports insights to senior management.
