Job summary

The Department of Urban Planning at UCLA seeks an Assistant Professor of Teaching to contribute to its teaching mission, including a new Master of Global Public Affairs. The ideal candidate will teach core and elective courses to master’s and undergraduate students and will integrate policy-relevant research with instruction.

We welcome scholars from urban planning, sociology, geography, political science, public policy, economics, and related fields whose work relates to Global Public Affairs.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach core and elective courses to master’s and undergraduate students.
• Scholarly work should be policy relevant and connect to Global Public Affairs.
• Experience focusing on non-North American contexts a plus (Asia, Middle East, Africa).

Responsibilities

• Teach six courses across three quarters as part of the department’s teaching mission.
• Contribute to the new Master of Global Public Affairs and related programs.
