The UCLA Department of Public Policy in the Luskin School of Public Affairs seeks an Assistant Professor of Public Policy to contribute to research and teaching for a new Master of Global Public Affairs. The candidate should work across political science, public policy, sociology, and related fields with policy-relevant research and the ability to teach both master’s and undergraduate students.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field required by time of appointment.
• Formal training and specialization in Public Policy and Global Public Affairs.
• Emerging record showing promise of high-quality, innovative scholarship.
• Ability to teach core and elective courses to master's and undergraduate students.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and publish high-quality research with policy relevance.
• Teach courses across four classes per year within the Masters in Global Public Affairs and undergraduate programs.
• Participate in departmental service and scholarly activities within UCLA Luskin.
• Contribute to the development of the new Master of Global Public Affairs program.
