Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Projects and Strategic Accounts Sales Director to join our dynamic team. This role will lead the pursuit of Emerson Actuation Technologies’ most strategic global projects across traditional sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power, Water, Chemical, Metals & Mining, as well as emerging markets like Sustainability and Decarbonization.

You will also focus on supporting key end-user strategic accounts to drive specifications and differentiation. Representing the full Emerson Actuation Technologies portfolio, you will cultivate international collaboration supported by a multidisciplinary pursuit team.

Balancing an external customer focus with internal leadership responsibilities, you will set the vision, drive sales efforts, and coordinate with key partners. Reporting to the VP of Global Sales and World Areas, you’ll excel in a matrixed environment by implementing clear strategies and maintaining strong communication. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Identify and qualify projects using organizational criteria and tools.
  • Early engagement (Pre-FEED / FEED stages) at EPCs and Strategic names accounts. Work with customers early in the project cycle to assist in optimizing product selection, value differentiation at an optimized cost.
  • Develop and communicate tailored value propositions for assigned accounts.
  • Analyze project profiles to understand business drivers and customer requirements.
  • Influence project specifications through technical meetings, expert consultations, and value-based selling.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to drive order conversion and improve solution potential.
  • Define project pursuit strategies and coordinate team roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, monitor bids for compliance, and handle strategic accounts to ensure client satisfaction and feedback integration.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in global sales management with a proven record of achieving revenue targets and leading high-performing sales teams
  • Validated experience leading global and remote sales teams, with a focus on developing tailored strategies across diverse regions and markets
  • Expertise in sales methodologies, forecasting, pipeline management, and data-driven decision-making to optimize performance and drive growth
  • Ability to travel up to 60% to support global sales efforts
