Job summary

Rustic Pathways is seeking a Program Leader for Spring - Summer 2027 to care for students on our programs, in the United States and abroad. You will be a primary responder in emergencies and partner with local leaders to ensure a safe, engaging, and impactful experience for all participants.

This seasonal role requires long days, resilience, and strong English communication. You will monitor wellbeing, coordinate updates with families, and uphold sustainability and inclusivity in every activity.

Qualifications

• Experience in service-learning, tourism, or experiential education.
• Minimum 2 years working with young adults or adolescents.
• Minimum 6 months in international or cross-cultural settings.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety and wellbeing during programs.
• Serve as a primary responder for incidents and emergencies.
• Collaborate with local leaders and Rustic Pathways staff to plan activities.
• Provide daily updates and communicate with parents and teams.
• Demonstrate leadership with cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
• Model sustainable travel and use Rustic Pathways’ guidelines.
