Global Product Specialist Small and Medium Power Transformers

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Global Product Specialist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the transformers product portfolio, conducting market analysis, and supporting the development of cutting-edge products. How you will make an impact
  1. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends and assess their impact on the Mainstream Power Transformer portfolio with special focus on fast growing segments like Utilities and Data Centers.
  2. Provide a fresh perspective on differentiating a mature technology and product in the market by analyzing market trends, understanding customer needs, and monitoring competitors' actions with an innovative and creative approach.
  3. Evaluate technical requirements and perform competitive assessments to pinpoint product gaps and improvement opportunities.
  4. Manage and update technical specifications for existing products to ensure market competitiveness and value.
  5. Oversee performance improvement initiatives through benchmarking and quality feedback on assigned products.
  6. Ensure compliance with international regulations and industry standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  7. Support new product development by translating market requirements into actionable inputs for the product roadmap.
  8. Prepare and present technical communication materials to support product launches and enhance market positioning.
  9. Develop and deliver engaging training sessions to empower cross-functional teams with the latest product knowledge and market insights.
Your background
  1. Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, market analysis, or a similar role within the transformers or energy industry.
  3. Strong technical understanding of energy solutions and industry technologies to effectively communicate product benefits and differentiate offerings.
  4. Proven ability to conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to drive product development.
  5. Strategic mindset and experience in business case analysis and return on investment requirements.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
