Haleon in Warren, NJ is seeking a Global Product Owner to lead the global technical strategy for a product family, ensuring quality across sites. You will drive Quality by Design, manage product lifecycle, oversee change controls, and collaborate with QA, procurement, and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy or related science discipline.
  • 10 years of technical experience in consumer products.
  • Product Lifecycle Management activities (Quality Events, Change Control, Deviation, CAPA, risk assessment).
  • Thorough understanding of Drug and Food GMPs and regulatory requirements (FDA, EU, ICH).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, unit operations and analytical testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global Product Quality Lifecycle management for the product family, including risk assessments and change controls.
  • Provide technical leadership for root cause analyses and investigations.
  • Assess new raw materials and liaise with Material Science and procurement to approve alternatives.
  • Support Health Authorities with technical justification and maintain product lifecycle documentation.
  • Ensure work complies with procedures, batch docs, and product specifications.

It unites us, inspires us, and challenges us to be better every day, driven by our agile, performance-focused culture.The **Global Product Owner** leads and owns the global technical strategy for a product or product family, ensuring consistent quality and robustness across all manufacturing sites. **Role Responsibilities*** Ensures that all aspects of Product Quality Lifecycle management are applied to the product(s) including a current Technical Risk Assessment, Product Control Strategy.* Ensures a data driven continuous improvement program is in place for the dose forms/ products driving quality, cost and efficiency improvements.* Proactively analyzes manufacturing, analytical, and stability performance trends, escalates significant findings to the TRB, and recommends continuous improvements.* Is involved as required in the assessment and management of all aspects of post-approval change to ensure that product quality is maintained, and the appropriate change controls are in place.* Provides technical leadership and input into root cause analyses to support complex investigations and resolution of product complaints and product deviations and investigations, in conjunction with QA and sites/CMOs.* Assesses new raw material suppliers and work with Material Science and procurement teams on the interpretation of data to approve new alternative raw material suppliers.* Provides technical justification with high-quality standards to Health Authorities on global brands when required and linked to product lifecycle management and/or maintenance project.* Ensures all work by the team is conducted in accordance with written procedures (e.g. quality and safety), methods & batch documents, etc.* Produces, contributes, or approves, departmental quality documentation (including SOP's, batch documentation, manufacturing protocols & reports, product specifications & development reports).* Provides technical leadership during technology transfer of products into Supply Chain from R&D and out to other sites ensuring Quality by Design principles are applied and a robust, well understood process is transferred with a well-defined and appropriate Product Control Strategy.* Provides technical product advice and training to site product owners and key stakeholders ensuring that sites have appropriate product knowledge and training to fully execute the Product Control Strategies.**Why you?****Basic Qualifications**· Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering Pharmacy or related science discipline.· 10 years of technical experience in consumer products.· Product Lifecycle Management activities (Quality Events- Change Control, Deviation, CAPA’s, trial and validation reports author/reviewer/approver as appropriate, risk assessment author/reviewer/approver as appropriate), understanding of the auditing world.· Good knowledge of product manufacturing processes including unit operation understanding, device/packaging processes, plant equipment and analytical testing.· Previous experience in the development of conventional and potentially novel formulation dosage forms.· Thorough understanding of Drug and Food GMPs as relevant to Haleon products as well as familiar with FDA, European and global regularity requirements, such as ICH Excellent understanding of scientific and commercial aspects of Consumer Healthcare industry**Preferred Qualifications**· Master’s or PhD.· PMP, Agile, Program Management or Portfolio Management certifications.· Previous Oral Heath category experience.· Strong business leadership and commercial acumen.· Extensive project and portfolio management experience in complex matrix organizations.· Ability to connect business objectives, technical possibilities and operational execution.· Ability to influence without authority and manage executive stakeholders effectively.· Expertise in governance, stage-gate management, risk management and change control.· Track record of coaching and mentoring scientists and peers to build strong collaborative teams working in a high-performance environment in a culture that values scientific rigor and empowerment.· External communication and/or network with regulators, external collaborators and/or scientific experts where needed.· Effective relationship building, influencing and organizational and project management skills. Good oral and written communication skills at all levels within the organization; strong technical writing capability· Proficient in Medical Device regulation knowledge relevant to project delivery.· Experienced in negotiating and agreeing timelines and milestones with sponsors/ business partners and continually monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery.· Deep understanding of Quality of Design (QbD), Operational Excellence (OE) and Value Engineering/ Design to Value.· Demonstrated a sense of curiosity and appetite to learn by themselves.· Site experience highly desired for practical application of the above.· Operational experience with the ability to ideate and execute technical changes that drive growth and productivity. **Location: This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week.** **The Salary Range for this role is $141,305 – 194,294 + an 18% annual target bonus.**
