Qualifications

  • 10+ years in footwear or consumer products with 3–5 years in leadership.
  • Experience in product line management, merchandising, strategy, or leadership in footwear/apparel.
  • Strong understanding of footwear marketplace, pricing, lifecycle, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the global product strategy for the OOFOS footwear portfolio, translating consumer insights, marketplace trends, brand priorities, and financial objectives into seasonal product assortments, franchise strategies, innovation roadmaps, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Own the long‑term product vision, multi‑year product roadmap, franchise strategy, and category growth plans, identifying whitespace opportunities and adjacent category expansion opportunities that strengthen OOFOS' leadership position.
  • Champion a consumer‑first product strategy by integrating marketplace trends, consumer insights, retailer feedback, competitive intelligence, and financial objectives into seasonal and long‑range product decisions.
  • Ensure product strategies balance consumer needs, brand positioning, revenue growth, profitability, and operational feasibility.
Seasonal Product Line Management
  • Lead seasonal product line planning and portfolio management, ensuring product architecture, pricing, segmentation, lifecycle decisions, and commercialization priorities deliver against consumer needs, revenue objectives, profitability targets, and brand positioning.
  • Provide executive direction on assortment architecture, pricing, segmentation, product positioning, lifecycle decisions, and seasonal product briefs.
  • Lead the organization’s understanding of consumer needs, wellness and recovery trends, competitive activity, and marketplace dynamics, translating insights into future product strategies.
  • Guide market research, retailer engagement, consumer analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Translate consumer and marketplace insights into actionable product, franchise, and innovation strategies.
  • Provide executive leadership throughout the product creation process, guiding product direction through concept reviews, line reviews, prototype evaluations, and commercialization milestones.
  • Balance consumer experience, technical feasibility, design intent, profitability, and speed to market when making product decisions.
  • Partner closely with Design, Development, Sourcing, and Operations to ensure seasonal product strategies are translated into commercially viable and scalable products.
  • Own the business vision and strategic roadmap for PLM and related product creation tools, establishing scalable capabilities that support global line planning, design, development, sourcing, commercialization, product data management, and reporting.
  • Translate business needs into system and process requirements, serving as the senior business liaison between Product, Design, Development, Sourcing, Operations, Digital, IT, and external technology partners to prioritize capabilities, integrations, configurations, releases, and investments.
  • Ensure product strategy, business processes, and digital capabilities evolve together to create a scalable, integrated product creation ecosystem.
Business Process Transformation & Digital Adoption
  • Drive product creation and business process transformation, identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate manual work, improve data quality, strengthen milestone adherence, accelerate speed to market, and enhance collaboration across global and regional teams.
  • Lead PLM change management and digital adoption, aligning stakeholders around a shared product creation vision and overseeing communication, training, adoption strategies, governance forums, and performance measures that support sustainable organizational change.
  • Establish system adoption, data quality, process efficiency, milestone adherence, and user experience metrics.
  • Evaluate product and digital performance and recommend future investments, using business results, consumer insights, system adoption metrics, operational risks, and emerging technologies—including workflow automation, analytics, visualization, and responsible applications of AI—to improve product decision‑making, user experience, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support vendor evaluation, implementation planning, resource prioritization, and investment recommendations related to the PLM ecosystem.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of progressive footwear or consumer product experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a managerial or director‑level role.
  • Significant professional experience in product line management, product merchandising, product strategy, or a related product leadership function within footwear, apparel, consumer products, or a comparable industry.
  • Strong understanding of the footwear marketplace, consumer segmentation, product positioning, assortment architecture, pricing, product lifecycle management, and commercialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute seasonal and long‑range product strategies that balance consumer needs, brand positioning, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Experience leading enterprise product systems, defining business requirements, driving digital transformation, and partnering effectively with business and technical teams.
  • Experience developing multi‑year product roadmaps, franchise strategies, assortment architecture, and commercialization plans within a global footwear or consumer products organization.
  • Demonstrated success translating consumer insights, retailer feedback, and marketplace trends into profitable product strategies and innovation roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret consumer, marketplace, product, and business performance data and translate insights into decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, establish priorities, resolve ambiguity, and drive decisions across functions without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Strong presentation, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Domestic and international travel as business needs require, approximately 15%.
Preferred
  • Experience serving as a business owner, product owner, or strategic leader for a Product Lifecycle Management system.
  • Experience with PLM implementations, system upgrades, workflow redesign, or digital transformation within footwear, apparel, consumer products, or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with PLM integrations involving ERP, planning, sourcing, digital asset management, business intelligence, or other enterprise platforms.
  • Experience establishing product data standards, system governance models, training programs, and user adoption metrics.
  • Experience evaluating or deploying workflow automation, analytics, visualization, or AI‑enabled capabilities within product creation processes.
  • Experience working with global product teams, international development partners, sourcing organizations, or regional commercial teams.
  • Experience supporting vendor evaluation, implementation planning, resource prioritization, or investment recommendations for enterprise technology solutions.
