Job summary

Steve Madden Ltd. in NYC seeks a highly organized Product Development Associate to bridge Sales, Design, Production, Sourcing, overseas offices, factory partners, and customers, ensuring samples, orders, and information move smoothly from development to the customer.

Based onsite in our NYC office, you’ll coordinate timelines with overseas partners, manage purchase orders, track samples, and maintain accurate records while collaborating across teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proactive follow-up to resolve issues.
• Experience coordinating with overseas vendors, factories, or global partners is a plus.
• Experience with product development, production, merchandising, or order management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development and production from order placement through final execution, ensuring smooth, accurate progression at each stage.
• Coordinate daily with overseas offices and factory partners to keep development and production timelines on track.
• Manage sample requests and deliveries between factories and customers, ensuring timely, accurate arrivals.
• Create and maintain sample hangtags for development and production samples; maintain tracking sheets.
