Job summary

You will oversee international supplier relationships, negotiate LTAs, and drive year-over-year cost reductions while coordinating with operations, engineering, and sales teams to align procurement with strategic goals.

The role requires experience in purchasing complex, technical items, along with strong supplier management and cost-reduction track records.

Qualifications

• Experience with procurement or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Purchasing complex, technical, or custom-designed items to specs.
• Experience managing international suppliers, open POs, and inventory.
• Experience negotiating long-term agreements with key vendors.
• Track record of cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the international supplier base, including open purchase orders and inventory levels
• Drive year-over-year cost reductions through the supply chain
• Negotiate long-term agreements with key vendors
• Implement supply chain strategy, policies, and procedures
• Drive and track the annual offshore and outsourcing productivity target, partnering with sales and engineering to identify parts to outsource
• Drive and track purchasing savings annually
• Evaluate vendors and replace them as needed without disruption to the supply chain
• Manage complex delivery schedules and purchase quantities to meet extended organizational requirements
• Supervise and develop lower-level Buyers or Clerks as needed
• Conduct business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, with honesty and integrity
