Job summary

JOA seeks a Process Technician to perform startup and checkout of converting equipment to support on-time, functional delivery of products. The role requires hands-on electro-mechanical skills and the ability to travel internationally up to 50% for field support.

You will assist with start-ups, perform audits, coordinate upgrades, and train staff at sites, while maintaining safety and documentation standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate-degree level education in electro-mechanical technology or engineering technology.
• 0–3 years converting equipment start up and process improvement experience.
• Ability to travel internationally for extended periods (up to 50% annually).
• Strong oral and written communication with engineering, manufacturing staff and customers.
• Forklift certification and safe forklift operation.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools including a tachometer and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with converting equipment start up and check out procedures to ensure on time and functional delivery of company products.
• Solve process issues with a methodical and well-communicated approach with the Project Leader.
• Complete line audits and document process changes; coordinate engineering equipment upgrades; ensure proper documentation.
• Travel extensively, including abroad, for extended periods; provide training and process support at plant and customer locations.
• Participate in morning planning meetings to develop daily activities and resource planning.
• Communicate effectively with customers, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Identify and eliminate safety hazards and maintain safe operating procedures; keep workspace tidy.
• Review and update the standard action list on a continuous basis.
• Build, assemble and install parts as needed.
