A global chemical manufacturing organization is looking to appoint a Global Process Safety Lead to direct their PSM program, based in the Downtown St. Louis area.

Reporting directly to the Global HSES Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall implementation of the Process Safety Management system across all global manufacturing sites.

The Role:

  • Operate as the senior individual contributor and expert in process safety, leading the development and maintenance of the PSM Program across the organization.
  • Support manufacturing sites in implementing and sustaining these programs.
  • Develop and maintain Process Safety Knowledge Management systems, including training programs and best practice sharing.
  • Work with key decision-makers and site leaders to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all process safety management elements.
  • Help develop and train in-house engineering and operations staff to fully integrate PSM practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison between global business units, ensuring all are PSM compliant.
  • Serve as SME for Management of Change (MOC) procedures and processes.

The Candidate:

  • B.S. Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing industry.
  • 5+ years' PSM experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally.
