Job Description: Global Process Owner, Source to Pay

BioMarin has experienced substantial organic growth since inception, especially over the last decade. This growth has been crucial in establishing BioMarin as a leading, fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company with approximately $2 billion in revenues from over 75 countries, a robust R&D pipeline, operating profits, and a team of 3,000 employees worldwide. As the company expands, leadership aims to optimize operational efficiency for future growth.

In 2022, BioMarin launched an enterprise-wide ERP initiative, implementing SAP S/4HANA. By Q1 2025, the first five legal entities went live, with remaining entities scheduled for Q1 2026. Implementing this new ERP system is a complex, transformational process affecting the entire organization.

The project team is structured around global process workflows, with a Global Process Owner (GPO) for each. We are currently recruiting a GPO for the Source to Pay process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Source to Pay workstream in collaboration with functional leaders of the STP organizations—Global Sourcing & Procurement, Legal, Accounts Payable.
• Develop and implement business process and system designs, ensuring alignment with the initial system design for the first go-live.
• Act as a change champion for the project, both functionally and cross-functionally.
• Assist in developing and implementing processes to simplify and standardize practices in line with SAP's fit-to-standard philosophy.
• Build partnerships and collaborate with global, regional, and functional teams on operational and planning initiatives.
• Engage stakeholders on how ERP can enable future opportunities, including global end-to-end processes in a shared service environment.
• Ensure adherence to program principles of fitting to standard SAP functionality and stewarding the global business process.
• Partner with leadership teams to drive continuous improvement post-go-live and build out the ERP Center of Excellence.
• Coordinate with development and configuration teams for workstream-related development.
• Manage scope, understand ERP modules, and ensure proper integration across workstreams.
• Prepare issues, options, and business cases for identified gaps.
• Participate in design workshops to align workstreams and ensure end-to-end process integration.
• Lead governance across the STP workstream, including enhancements, data reporting, analytics, and efficiency projects.

Compensation and Benefits
