Job summary

UMG is seeking a Director, Privacy & Data Protection to lead the global privacy program. You will draft, review and negotiate privacy terms in contracts, oversee data subject rights, and collaborate with Legal, Information Security, Marketing and platform teams to ensure responsible data use.

The ideal candidate is an experienced privacy attorney with strong drafting and negotiation skills, capable of managing day-to-day privacy matters and escalating sensitive issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be an attorney with strong privacy law fundamentals.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, sound judgment and business orientation.
• Experience handling day-to-day privacy matters with ability to escalate complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate data protection and privacy terms in commercial agreements.
• Partner with Business & Legal Affairs on privacy issues across commercial arrangements.
• Handle data subject rights requests and coordinate with privacy operations and business teams.
• Support privacy aspects of cybersecurity incidents and regulatory inquiries.
