DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a senior privacy counsel to serve as the primary partner to product and marketing, shaping privacy by design and data use across banners including the corporate platforms.

The role requires experience advising on global privacy, negotiating complex agreements, and leading cross-functional teams; you will help define risk thresholds, govern data partnerships, and oversee outside counsel.

Qualifications

• Advanced privacy counseling experience with product focus.
• Experience advising on global ad tech, digital marketing, or consumer data use.
• Strong business acumen balancing risk and growth in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary privacy legal partner to product and marketing teams covering all banners (DICK'S, Foot Locker, GameChanger and subsidiaries).
• Advise on privacy-by-design for e-commerce, mobile apps, digital platforms, and HR technology.
• Lead reviews on data use, targeted advertising, loyalty programs, analytics, and consent management requirements.
• Develop scalable guardrails and playbooks for business teams to govern data use and privacy risk.
• Embed with product, engineering, and marketing to align standards; coordinate with regional privacy counsels.
• Oversee outside counsel and budget for Global Privacy - Product & Data Use; manage disputes related to privacy.
• Lead contract drafting and negotiation for complex commercial agreements.
