Job summary

Mark Anthony Group is seeking a Global Privacy Co-Op Student for an 8-month contract starting January 2027. The role supports the Global Privacy Office with privacy program operations, data governance, regulatory readiness, and risk management, offering hands-on experience in data mapping, AI governance, vendor privacy, and reporting.

You will help gather information across business units to map data flows, assist with responsible AI reviews, organize vendor records, and maintain privacy

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a university co-op program related to privacy, law, or information management.
• Interest in privacy, responsible AI, governance, compliance or risk management.
• Experience researching, organizing information, or preparing reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Power BI or Visio is an asset.
• Prior office or project coordination experience is a plus.

Description

Title: Global Privacy Co-Op Student (8-month contract, January-August 2027)

Overview: Support the Global Privacy Office with privacy program operations, data governance, regulatory readiness, and privacy risk management. The role will provide hands-on experience across enterprise data mapping, AI governance, vendor privacy, and privacy reporting.

What the Role is about:

• Support MAG’s enterprise data mapping and privacy inventory work by gathering information from business teams and systems that process personal information to create data flow documentation.
• Support MAG's AI Governance by assisting with ethical use reviews, documenting governance decisions, and helping implement responsible AI oversight processes.
• Support vendor privacy and third-party risk management activities by organizing vendor records, tracking privacy assessments and data processing agreements, and maintaining evidence required for ongoing oversight.
• Organize and improve Privacy Office knowledge resources, including templates, playbooks, guidance materials, SharePoint content, and recurring process documentation.
• Provide general project coordination and support for privacy initiatives, including meeting preparation, action tracking, document management, and stakeholder follow-up.

Who we are looking for:

Qualifications, Education, & Experience

• Currently enrolled in a university or college co-op program in privacy, law, business, information management, information systems, cybersecurity, data governance, public policy, or a related discipline.
• An interest in privacy, responsible AI, technology governance, compliance, or risk management.
• Experience conducting research, organizing information, analyzing processes, or preparing written reports through coursework, employment, or extracurricular activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Power BI, Visio, or other data visualization and process-mapping tools is an asset but is not required.
• Previous office, project coordination, compliance, legal, technology, or data-related experience is an asset but is not required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate detailed information into clear, practical, business-friendly materials.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and follow-up requirements.
• Highly organized and comfortable working with structured data, spreadsheets, inventories, trackers, and process documentation.
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
• Curious, proactive, and comfortable asking questions and working with stakeholders across Legal, IT, Security, HR, Marketing, Procurement, and other business functions.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to upscale questions or seek direction.
• Commitment to fairness, accountability, transparency, and responsible handling of personal information.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment where stakeholders have short windows of time to assist you with information requests.
