Global Public Relations Specialist, Sea-Doo

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  1. Shape and drive a holistic, globalized public relations approach.
  2. Oversee the creation and execution of effective, engaging global consumer PR strategies.
  3. Develop communications strategies and plans to generate stories, ensure execution, and achieve results.
  4. Identify and implement new external communication opportunities.
  5. Provide PR counsel to brand marketing teams in North America and other regions.
  6. Collaborate with team members to maximize ROI across sponsorships, influencers, brand ambassadors, and others.
  7. Work with regional communications teams worldwide.
  8. Manage PR agency partnerships, focusing on priorities, results, and budgets.

Media Relations:

  1. Serve as the primary contact for media activities.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with reporters, editors, and influencers.
  3. Handle media inquiries, develop key messages, and prepare spokespeople.
  4. Research, write, edit, and distribute media materials.
  5. Organize media events and activations, with willingness to travel.

Media Listening, Measurement & Reporting:

  1. Monitor and analyze external communication results.
  2. Share insights and lessons learned.
  3. Stay informed on media industry trends and recommend strategies to enhance visibility.

Split: 85% Sea-Doo and 15% Uncharted Society.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Deep passion for powersports, media relations, and communications.
  • Familiarity with all media consumption trends.
  • Creative, clear communicator with strong collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant PR experience in powersports, automotive, motorcycle, or boating industries.
  • 2+ years in watersports and outdoor activities media.
  • Excellent knowledge of media landscape in Canada and the U.S.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, management skills (preferred).
  • Remote role with up to 20% travel.
  • Legal authorization to work; sponsorship not provided.
