Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Safety Policy & Governance professional to lead global safety policy development and governance across Uber's Mobility and Delivery businesses.
You will partner with Product, Data Science, Safety Support, and Legal to drive improvements and ensure compliant reporting and auditing. The role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex data into persuasive narratives for executive leadership.
As an advocate of Safety at Uber, you will have the opportunity to identify and launch programs that help ensure a safe experience for Consumers, Drivers and Delivery Drivers, across our global marketplace and various product offerings.
We are seeking a self-starter to join Uber’s Global Safety team to focus on the development of Uber’s global safety policies and standards, and governance over how safety incidents are reported, classified, routed, and audited for high-quality reporting. This includes setting requirements for safety incident auditing, evolving policies and models to detect patterns of fraud or abuse, and
You should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment, love solving problems, thrive in a hyper-growth culture, and above all be passionate about the safety of people and the cities in which we operate. Working with teams across the globe, you’ll need excellent stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate and present information to seek executive buy-in.
For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
