Hunter Douglas is seeking a HD Category Procurement Manager – Plastic to develop and execute a global procurement strategy across the Plastic category, partnering with Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, PMO, and Plant Operations to deliver strategic value and strengthen supplier performance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of sourcing or procurement experience in manufacturing, with SAP/ERP/MRP knowledge, strong analytics, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a relevant field.
• 5–7 years of progressive sourcing or supply chain experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Contract negotiation and vendor management experience.
• Experience with wood, plastics, finished goods, engineering, or manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute global category strategies for Plastic aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end-to-end competitive sourcing events, including requirements gathering, market analysis, bidding, supplier selection, and negotiation.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and deliver year-over-year cost reductions and improved payment terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct periodic business reviews to ensure performance.
• Analyze category spend and market intelligence to identify savings opportunities.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics and KPIs.
• Provide procurement guidance, industry intelligence, and market trends to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, PMO, and Plant Operations.
