Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Senior Director, Global Physical Security Technology to act as a strategic advisor to the VP of Global Security, shaping the technology strategy and leading global programs across access control, video management, and related systems.

This role drives transformation, manages budgets and teams of 30+ professionals and contractors, and partners with IT, facilities, risk and cyber security to deliver secure, compliant, high-availability technology across our data centers.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in access control, video management, perimeter security, intrusion detection.
• Advanced proficiency with PIAM and PSIM platforms.
• Experience in security architecture, software lifecycle management and project delivery.
• Ability to manage large budgets and lead 30+ staff, contractors and consultants.
• Knowledge of AI-driven physical security solutions and regulatory standards.
• Hands-on experience with AMAG, Lenel or comparable platforms.
• Certifications such as CPP, PSP, CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of physical security technology operations, including programming, commissioning, system health, upgrades, integrations, architecture and governance.
• Administer multiple physical security databases, servers, applications (PAIM/PSIM), and enterprise-wide upgrades and integrations.
• Establish and execute global strategies for access control and video management systems.
• Plan and deliver global physical security technology projects ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Lead decisions on physical security technology systems (proximity, biometric access, PIAM/PSIM, VMS, intrusion).
• Manage budgets, performance of consultants, integrators, and vendors.
• Build partnerships across Operations, IT, Global Facilities, Cyber Security, Risk Management.
• Spearhead AI adoption and emerging technologies in physical security.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Travel up to 25%+ to support global security technology delivery.
• Architect, design, implement and support physical security applications and infrastructure.
