Job summary

CVS Health in Minnesota invites aspiring pharmacists from foreign-educated backgrounds to join our US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate Training Program. You’ll apply didactic knowledge in real-world patient care while building pharmacy skills under a preceptor and preparing for licensure.

Successful interns complete 18 months of hands-on learning, expect to graduate with licensure readiness, and contribute to safe, compassionate care across our pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Foreign Graduate from a Non-US Accredited college or school of pharmacy before starting US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate Training at CVS
• FPGEC certification is required
• Pharmacist licensure in the state where the position is based within 120 days of completing US Intern hours
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians in managing patient health
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Counsel patients, answer medical questions, and collect medical histories to provide optimal care under supervision
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions with prescribers when allowed by state law
• Support immunizations and other services as permitted by state regulations and training
