Job summary

CVS Health, in Minnesota, offers a US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate program that enables foreign-educated pharmacists to complete required US internship hours and pursue licensure. Under a preceptor, you will translate didactic learning into real-world practice to prepare for a pharmacist role.

During the internship, you will learn to support the pharmacy team, ensure dispensing accuracy, and contribute to patient care, with emphasis on SOPs, empathy, and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Foreign graduate from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• FPGEC certification.
• Pharmacist licensure in the state within 120 days of completing US internship hours.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Willingness to travel to market stores as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify as allowed by state law.
• Assist with immunizations and other services where allowed by law and training.
