We are looking for an experienced and solution-oriented Global Payroll Lead to oversee and execute all payroll operations across global operations. This role requires a sharp focus on accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality, coupled with a proactive mindset to identify and mitigate risks. This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do

• Execute end-to-end global payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regional tax and labor regulations.
• Responsible for monthly/quarterly/yearly payroll financial reports.
• Internal subject matter expert and process owner for all payroll-related activities
• To the extent responsible, ensure the accuracy of payroll financial information and compliance with company policies and procedures, including SOX and other internal control requirements.
• Year-end reporting and W2 review.
• Assist with payroll provider inquiries as provided through people experience partners and internal ticketing system
• Assist in special projects and analysis as assigned.
• Support various internal and external audits as needed.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while managing sensitive data, handling escalations professionally.
• Analyze payroll metrics and develop process improvement, automation, and scalability recommendations.
• Ensure seamless adoption of payroll tools, driving efficiency in payroll administration and reporting.

What You've Done

• 5-8 years of experience in payroll operations, with specific experience in a global, multi-national company
• Strong background in international payroll as well as expertise in US federal, state, and local payroll taxation
• Experience in a high-volume company supporting a population of North American employees
• Experience with processing payroll in the state of California/New York
• Strong project management experience and drive to streamline processes at scale
• Experience with systems integrations and new implementations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional business partners, internal/external stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with payroll systems/processors (e.g., UKG a plus, ADP, and local international agencies) and advanced Excel skills.
• A solution-oriented with a demonstrated ability to “get things done” under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential data with discretion and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in process automation and implementing payroll best practices globally.
• Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.

Salary Range

$150,000 - $160,000 USD
