Job summary

iCapital seeks a Payroll professional to join the Corporate Finance team, supporting Global Payroll across US and international locations. You will help manage in-house and outsourced payrolls, ensure accuracy, and provide payroll guidance to employees and partners while collaborating on key Finance projects.

The role requires CPP preferred, Dayforce experience, and strong attention to detail with multistate payroll knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field of study.
  • Certified Payroll Certification (CPP) designation is strongly preferred.
  • Dayforce experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role managing multi-state payroll. Global experience a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and related tools; experience with automated payroll systems is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional diligence and accuracy in handling sensitive data.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll concepts to employees and stakeholders.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
  • High level of organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving payroll practices and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Global Payroll (US, Canada, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Portugal, Switzerland, and Japan).
  • Reconcile all changes that affect pay which include salary adjustments, location changes, leaves, and returns, bonuses and commissions, deductions, and one-time payments such as referral awards, relocation stipends, and severance payments.
  • Review and finalize timesheets for a small population of US non-exempt employees.
  • Manage other pay inputs such as garnishments and deduction corrections as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with payroll service partners, including correspondence, ad-hoc requests, escalation, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist the Global Payroll team with reconciling and approving payrolls timely and accurately, in partnership with Corporate Finance.
  • Manage ongoing state employment tax requirements with tax providers and any other global compliance filings and requirements
  • Assist with global year-end processes to ensure all are accurate and timely.
  • Coordinate data for audit responses for periodic internal and external payroll audits and compliance reporting, including 401(k) and Workers Compensation.
  • Be the initial point of contact for all payroll-related issues from employees. Monitor a payroll email inbox, ticketing service and educate employees with clear, helpful responses.

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a motivated Payroll professional to join the growing Corporate Finance team. This role will assist the Global Payroll Team in managing the company's current in-house and outsourced payrolls, provide payroll insight and services to employees and partners, and help execute related processes and payroll data management. Benefits
  • The base salary range for this role is $ 90,000 to $ 130,000.
