Job summary

Notion is seeking a highly skilled payroll specialist to own accurate, on-time EMEA payrolls and provide APAC coverage. This role keeps Notion’s international footprint compliant and scalable, partnering with Accounting, People Ops and Benefits, and coordinating with vendors across Ireland, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, Singapore and beyond.

Based in San Francisco or New York City, you’ll join our team on anchor days.

Qualifications

• 4 years of payroll processing experience for EMEA and/or APAC regions in small to midsize organizations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and local tax and labor laws in EMEA/APAC.
• Experience managing vendors and adapting to local payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate, on-time EMEA payrolls and provide APAC coverage to maintain a compliant international footprint.
• Collaborate with Accounting, People Ops and Benefits, and liaise with local vendors across multiple countries.
• Process one-time payments, fringe benefits, and pension contributions with precision.
• Generate payroll reports and support month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Improve payroll workflows and ensure timely tax and net-pay processing.
