The role focuses on addressing data quality, regulatory compliance, and fee assessment issues across payments networks, leveraging SQL, Python, and BigQuery to deliver insights. The team collaborates with internal customers to educate on compliance topics, present complex datasets to stakeholders, and maintain data integrity and documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or 10+ years in Computer Science, Finance, Pricing, Interchange, or Technology.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as SQL, Python, and BigQuery; strong data analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables; detail-oriented and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Leverage understanding of interchange, scheme fees, and regulatory compliance to address out of compliance and fee issues.
• Suggest and implement data quality improvements, possibly affecting processes, systems, or merchant procedures.
• Monitor daily data activity for trends and compliance; conduct anomaly research and issue resolution.
• Educate internal stakeholders on regulatory topics to resolve business problems arising from interchange qualification or card brand fines.
• Create detailed presentations of datasets to troubleshoot data-related fee issues and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
