Position Details

This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday during standard business hours. Compensation will be based on the qualifications of applicant.

Location:

This is a REMOTE opportunity in the United States. Candidate must reside in the US and be work authorized. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Our corporate office is located in Chattanooga, TN.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Global Partners and Special Projects Manager will be responsible for managing and executing key internal projects, as well as collaborating with external partners to drive the success of joint initiatives. This role combines leadership and project management, with a strong emphasis on managing relationships with partners to ensure the smooth delivery of projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Transcard President, CEO, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to align business objectives and ensure all strategic projects, both internal and partner-related, are delivered successfully.

  • Partner with the Transcard President, CEO, and executive leadership team to execute organizational strategies, ensuring that partner-driven initiatives are aligned with the company’s broader goals and objectives.
  • Manage strategic global partnerships with FinTechs, banks, networks, and technology providers.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and marketing teams to operationalize new partner solutions.
  • Represent Transcard in global partner meetings, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and work closely with department heads to ensure projects are progressing according to plan and contributing to overall business objectives.
  • Align internal teams to work efficiently across different departments to support the successful execution of partner-related projects, ensuring a cohesive approach.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements in existing processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of collaborations with external partners.
  • Lead and manage high-priority executive projects involving key external partners, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation through execution, monitoring, and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify risks or potential roadblocks in partner-related projects and proactively implement solutions to mitigate delays or challenges.
  • Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders, managing expectations, providing regular status updates, and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Serve as the point of communication between senior leadership and special projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of project progress and developments.
  • Develop comprehensive project reports and presentations for internal leadership meetings, ensuring that key project metrics, risks, and outcomes are clearly communicated.
  • Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for partner-driven projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on improving partner engagement, operational efficiency, and long-term project outcomes.
  • Anticipate, identify, and address potential risks associated with partner projects, and implement risk mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Act as a problem solver, addressing challenges or conflicts between internal teams and partners, and facilitating resolutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee the identification and management of project dependencies, ensuring the successful execution of all deliverables.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a strong focus on project management, partner relations, or strategic operations.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment preferred (fintech, tech, or similar industries a plus).
  • Extensive experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving external partners, with proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with key business partners, clients, and third-party vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and project success.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable projects and initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, as well as external partners.
  • Experience in streamlining business operations and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information and maintaining the highest level of discretion.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of global payment systems, embedded finance, APIs, and B2B payment flows.
  • This role requires a minimum of 10-25%+ travel to meet with clients, attend conferences, and support team operations across various locations.

Education And/or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
