Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Global Pain Clinical Research Scientist to provide scientific and clinical expertise across drug development, from trial design to regulatory submission and post-launch support.

You will develop global medical and clinical strategies, lead trial design, oversee trial conduct, ensure regulatory compliance with FDA/ICH/GCP, support regulatory submissions, and collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Business units while engaging with external experts and

Qualifications

Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, DVM, MSN/NP) with 5+ years of clinical or pharmaceutical experience, or BS/MS with 7–10 years in clinical trials, drug development, or related fields.
Must demonstrate scientific expertise in Pain and Neuroscience, clinical trial methodology, and regulatory processes.
Strong communication, influence, and collaboration skills are essential; willingness to travel domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

Develop global medical and clinical strategies for pain therapeutics.
Contribute to trial design and oversee trial conduct.
Ensure compliance with FDA, ICH, and GCP regulations.
Support regulatory submissions and communications with regulators.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Ops, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Marketing.
Engage with external investigators, regulators, and professional societies.
Mentor teams and support scientific publications and educational activities.
