Job summary

Nikon SLM Solutions seeks a Vice President of Operations to lead U.S. operations and drive global manufacturing strategy with third-party partners.

You will partner with international teams to ensure alignment on production planning, quality, and continuous improvement across external manufacturers. You will work with Engineering, Finance, Quality, Commercial, and Global Operations to enable scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Experience leading manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, procurement, and commercial operations.
• Experience managing operational P&L and driving cost optimization.
• Strong background implementing Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience establishing KPIs and using data to improve operational performance.
• ERP experience; SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and third-party manufacturing.
• Develop and execute strategies that support growth, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead organizational planning, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee manufacturing operations, production planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier performance.
• Develop and execute global third-party manufacturing strategies with international partners.
• Collaborate with Lübeck, Germany to align priorities and execution.
• Ensure readiness for new product introductions and growth; own the Ops budget and P&L.
• Develop KPIs to measure performance across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
• Drive cost reduction while maintaining quality; support budgeting, forecasting, and capex decisions.
• Lead Lean and CI initiatives; standardize processes for productivity and scalability.
• Support ERP optimization and process automation as part of digital transformation.
• Establish reporting that drives data-based decisions and collaborate across functions.
