Job summary

Ingredion in Westchester, IL is seeking an Operations Finance Intern for Summer 2027. You will analyze plant manufacturing costs across regions and assist in intercompany pricing processes and in developing monthly and quarterly financial reporting.

This internship emphasizes process improvement, cross‑functional collaboration with operations and finance, and delivering timely analyses to support business performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in college.
• Ability to work on site 3 days a week during the internship term.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and compare plant manufacturing costs across regions to identify trends and opportunities.
• Assist evaluating intercompany pricing timing, accuracy and affiliate exposure.
• Contribute to standardized Global Operations Finance reporting for monthly/quarterly cycles.
• Provide timely ad-hoc analyses and reporting support for global operations finance.
• Identify improvement opportunities and help develop action plans.
• Collaborate with internal operations and finance partners to deliver results.

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious student to join our Global Operations Finance team for summer 2027! As the Operations Finance Intern, you will help the business by identifying growth opportunities through analyzing manufacturing trends, intercompany volume/pricing, as well as by assisting in the development of our monthly and quarterly financial reporting, You will be an important resource in the Operations Finance department, and we believe that this internship will give you the opportunity to apply academic experience with a tailored learning path in a corporate setting to drive your career development. We are looking for someone who has a strong initiative for process improvements to incorporate change in a dynamic work environment.

What you will do:

• Analyze and compare plant manufacturing costs in different global regions to understand trends and drivers and potentially identify business opportunities
• Assist in evaluating and improving Ingredion's intercompany pricing process with respect to timing, accuracy, and minimizing affiliate exposure
• Contribute to the development of standardized Global Operations Finance reporting by implementing processes and procedures to ensure monthly and quarterly reporting is consistent, timely, and accurate
• Provide timely assistance on global operations finance related ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests
• Assist in the identification and recommendation of improvement opportunities and development of action plans
• Manage positive relationships with internal operations and finance partners to deliver results and support business performance

What you will bring:

• Progress towards a Bachelor's degree in Finance with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0, preferred
• Be in or going into your junior or senior year of college
• Ability to work on site 3 days a week during the summer internship term
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of basic computer software applications such as MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Reliable transportation to and from the work facility 3 days per week

• Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a junior or non-graduating senior.
