Job summary

Ingredion is offering a summer internship in the HR organization located in Westchester, IL. This hybrid role provides exposure to Inclusion and Belonging, Internal Communications, and CEO Awards processes while supporting communications and engagement initiatives.

You will work 40 hours per week with a strong emphasis on service, organization, and teamwork, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, agile environment and the Capstone Summit at Ingredion HQ in Westchester, IL.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Economics or related field with GPA ≈ 3.0/4.0 preferred.
• Available to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term.
• Strong business insight and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Global Inclusion Week and BRG Affinity month initiatives and communications.
• Support local Impact Team on Summer Employee Activities and Engagements.
• Assist with annual CEO Awards process, communications and testing as needed.
• Collaborate with I&B, Sustainability and Communications teams to develop campaigns and improve culture.
• Improve Ingredion’s internal video channel with ideas and enhancements.

Internship Position

The Ingredion HR Team is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic college student to join the organization for an internship during summer 2026. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various HR Leaders in Inclusion and Belonging, and Internal Communications, provide support and guidance to achieve and impact in the HR Goals of each function. We are looking for someone with a great service attitude, is results-focused, and has strong project management with a strong initiative to improve status-quo and incorporate change in a dynamic and agile work environment.

What you will do:

• Assist on Global Inclusion Week and BRG Affinity month initiatives and communications
• Support local Impact Team on Summer Employee Activities and Engagements
• Assist with annual CEO Awards process, communications and testing as needed
• Collaborate with the I&B, Sustainability and Communications team to develop engaging campaigns to improve and demonstrate culture and purpose.
• Improve our employee experience, providing ideas, support and improvements for Ingredion's internal video channel.

What you will bring:

• Progress towards a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Economics or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
• Ability to work 40 hrs. per week during the year internship term over the summer
• Strong business insight and continuous improvement skills
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Outstanding attention to detail with verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day

Eligibility requirements:

• Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
• Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
