Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking an Operations Transfer Manager to lead cross-functional operations and engineering initiatives across sites. You will drive project governance, budgeting, and execution to meet strategic goals while ensuring safety, ethics, and quality compliance.

You will develop talent, advance portfolio improvements, and partner with multiple functions to deliver complex projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• At least four years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, operations, process development, and/or project management.
• Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site or enterprise initiatives.
• Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior people leadership experience.
• Six Sigma or Lean certification/training strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale, cross-functional operations and manufacturing projects from initiation through implementation and post-launch support.
• Develop and govern integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and performance metrics.
• Ensure projects are executed per PMO governance and compliance requirements.
• Drive portfolio visibility and prioritization via processes and tools to identify high-value projects.
• Monitor status, risks, scope changes, and budget through dashboards and reviews.
• Identify, mitigate, escalate, and resolve issues affecting timing, cost, quality or scope.
• Support change management to facilitate adoption and sustainment.
• Support implementation in regulated environments.
• Lead and develop engineering and project teams (principal engineers, engineers, technicians, etc.).
• Coach and develop staff; assign and review work.
• Partner with Ops, Quality, Finance, IT, HR, Supply Chain to build business cases and allocate resources.
• Provide PM/engineering consulting for cross-site initiatives.
• Act as a change agent to drive excellence and standardization.
• Refine best practices, tools, and frameworks for execution and improvement.
• Ensure alignment with strategic plans and priorities.
