Job summary

PPG is hiring an Operations Director for Aerospace Transparencies to build and lead a multi-site organization across the Global Transparencies business, aligning commercial and operational strategies. The role reports to the GM of Global Transparencies and oversees safety, quality, schedule adherence, costs and continuous improvement.

Based in a hybrid role with potential locations including Sylmar, CA, Huntsville, AL, or Grand Prairie, TX, you will drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, S&OP

Qualifications

• 10+ years of operations and engineering experience in discrete manufacturing and highly regulated environments.
• 5+ years of management/supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive measurable results.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Be actively engaged in Safety and Quality; ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor EHS performance and drive continuous improvement for a risk-free environment.
• Develop an operations and supply chain culture with accountability and leadership.
• Lead and optimize KPIs; drive corrective actions to deviations from plan.
• Collaborate with S&OP, supplier management, and procurement to align tactical and strategic needs.
• Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve safety, processes, yields and quality.
