Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Global Development Scientist in Gaithersburg, MD or Cambridge, MA. You will shape late-phase oncology trials, turning strategy into protocols and data into decisions for patients, clinicians, and regulators.

Qualifications

• PharmD, Ph.D. or MD with strong Oncology background is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of FDA and major regulatory frameworks.
• Deep understanding of GCP and related clinical research regulations.

Responsibilities

• Translate program strategy into study concepts, protocols and related materials.
• Own protocol integrity and governance, collaborating with governance bodies.
• Lead trial delivery, recruitment planning, and feasibility input for country/site selection.
• Possibly lead study-level medical monitoring and safety reviews.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and registration packages; support launches and publications.
• Mentor team members and drive cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
