DACHSER USA Air & Sea Logistics Inc. is seeking an Ocean Import Specialist to coordinate all aspects of ocean import shipments. You will work with shippers, truckers and steamship lines to book, arrange inland pickups and monitor delivery to final destinations.

The role requires handling weights, volumes, rate calculations and timely billing, while ensuring FMC compliance and high-quality customer service. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; two years in ocean freight forwarding preferred.
• Strong contract interpretation skills with ability to negotiate rates.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean import shipments with shippers, truckers and lines.
• Set up bookings, arrange inland pickups and track shipments to destinations.
• Verify weights/volumes, calculate rates and price conversions.
• Arrange timely billing and ensure FMC/compliance adherence.
• Support local sales with rate requests and email responses.
• Maintain communications with customers, carriers and Dachser offices.
